Custom hand-drawn pattern design for the Excelsior, a Luxury Collection hotel by Marriott in Florence, Italy.
The design is based on the Hotel's logo : a reinterpretation of the Florentine fleur-de-lis emblem combined with a fountain pen that reminds of the hotel's storyline 'The art of writing'. The branches and leaves are a new take on the traditional Florentine patterns mixed with calligraphy ligatures & swirls.
